How to check if a binary trading platform is legit (7 checks)

Every market has dozens of trading platforms competing for the same deposits. Scams here are not subtle: they promise daily profit, then block withdrawals. These seven checks take about an hour and will protect your money better than any advert.

  1. Open the demo before you deposit. If there is no demo, you are the demo. A real platform lets you test with virtual funds.
  2. Run the withdrawal test. Deposit the smallest amount allowed, trade briefly, then withdraw it all. Note exactly how long it takes and whether anybody asks for an extra "unlock fee". Advance-fee requests are the oldest scam in the book.
  3. Read the terms, fees page and company details. Look for a registered business name, physical address and support channels that answer. Missing contact details are a red flag.
  4. Check who licensed them, and whether the claim is real. If a platform claims Capital Markets Authority licensing, verify it directly with the CMA rather than trusting a badge on the site.
  5. Search the brand name plus "review", "withdrawal", "complaint". Also check review aggregators. Note the difference between an unhappy user and a pattern of blocked withdrawals.
  6. Ignore guaranteed-profit marketing. "100% winning", "fixed daily profit" and "double your deposit" claims are impossible in real markets. Whichever platform or influencer makes them, that is a warning, not a feature.
  7. Start small on purpose. Consistency over six weeks beats any single deposit. Testing with a small amount, repeatedly, exposes failures that adverts hide.

What a healthy platform looks like

Demo access first. Published fees. Withdrawals processed without extra "fees" to unlock them. Support that answers questions about withdrawals. No promises about profit. If a platform ticks those boxes and you still lose a trade, that is market risk, not fraud.
